The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona "Racing", reference 116509, is one of the most visually striking and collector-coveted Daytona configurations ever produced, combining the prestige of an 18k white gold case with the iconic "Racing" dial that pays direct tribute to the motorsport heritage at the heart of the Daytona name. This certified pre-owned example from 2006 is offered in good condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted entirely in 18k white gold, the 116509 presents the Cosmograph Daytona in a beautifully resolved 40mm round case measuring just 12.4mm in height, with a tachymeter-engraved bezel in white gold and the alternating brushed and polished surfaces that give the Daytona its characteristic sporting elegance. A precious metal watch that wears its motorsport spirit with complete conviction.
The ivory "Racing" dial is the centrepiece of this reference, with three contrasting black chronograph subdials edged in vivid red, large Arabic numerals, and the word "Daytona" printed in red at 6 o'clock. A high-contrast, graphic composition that is as alive and dynamic today as it was the day it left the Rolex manufacture, and one of the most immediately recognisable Daytona dials in the collector community.
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 4130, an entirely in-house automatic chronograph movement with column wheel construction and a vertical clutch, offering smooth and precise chronograph engagement and a 72-hour power reserve. One of the finest chronograph movements ever produced, by any manufacture at any price.
The watch is fitted with the Oyster bracelet in 18k white gold with Oysterlock safety clasp and Easylink comfort extension system, offering effortless fine adjustment of up to 5mm for the perfect fit at any time.

The Ref. 6241 model was produced from approximately 1966 to 1969. Scholars estimate that no more than 3,000 examples were made during the model's production period.

Le modèle Ref. 6241 a été produit approximativement de 1966 à 1969. Les spécialistes estiment que pendant la période de production du modèle, pas plus de 3000 exemplaires ont été fabriqués.

Rolex Explorer II, ref. 16570, vendue en 2000
Initialement conçue pour la spéléologie, la Rolex Explorer II s?est développée au fil du temps comme l?une des montres des moins communes mais aussi des plus spéciales de la marque à la couronne.
Bien qu'encore trop sous-appréciée, l'Explorer II est une icône tant esthétique qu'historique. Aussi appelée "Polar" lorsqu'elle arbore un cadran blanc, elle est l'une des deux uniques montres "professionelles" de Rolex à offrir une option a cadran blanc (aux côtés de la Daytona).
Comme bien souvent avec les montres néo-vintage de Rolex, la référence 16570 mêle parfaitement l'esthétique vintage à la résistance et la technologie moderne. Que ce soit pour son bracelet, sa fonction GMT ou encore son cadran blanc particulièrement lisible, la Polar est une pièce extrêment intéressant d'un point de vue utilité mais aussi "qualité prix.
Cette pièce spécifique est probablement notre configuration préférée de la 16570. Son cadran blanc immaculé contraste bien sur le boitier et la lunette en acier, cette dernière donnant un pur look de montre professionnelle à la Polar. L'aiguille rouge du GMT amène une vivacité à cette pièce relativement discrète. Fait intéressant, la pièce porte un cadran "Swiss Only" où uniquement le mot "Swiss" est lisible à 6 heure. Cette spécificité est uniquement visible sur les serial A et U, représentant donc une courte période de production (environ une année et demie). Le cadran, le boîtier et le bracelet ont tous été extrêmement bien conservés, comme l'attestent les photos.
