Japanese chef's knife / Damascus VG-10 Bunka 150mm Wenge
150mm Bunka VG-10 / Layered Damascus - Handmade Wenge Wa-Handle
Compact 150mm Bunka from my private collection, made with a VG-10 stainless steel core, layered Damascus cladding and a dark hammered finish.
The knife is fitted with a handmade Wa (Japanese) handle in solid wenge. I personally selected this wood for its pronounced straight grain, dark color and clean pattern, then shaped, finished and fitted the handle to the blade by hand.
