The IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Double Moon, reference IW503401, is one of the most accomplished and historically significant perpetual calendar watches outside of the grandes maisons of Geneva, a timepiece whose Kurt Klaus-designed perpetual calendar module traces its roots back to the legendary Da Vinci of 1985. Crafted in 18k white gold, the IW503401 presents the Portugieser in its stately 44.2mm round case measuring 15.3mm in height, with the collection's signature domed sapphire crystal and open caseback revealing the beautifully finished automatic movement within. Elegant, commanding, and deeply considered in every proportion, a watch that wears its complications with complete confidence.

The blue dial is a study in grand complication layout at its finest, with Arabic numerals and feuille hands framing a perpetual calendar display showing day, date, month, year on four digits, and two moonphase displays offering simultaneous northern and southern hemisphere indication. A small seconds subdial and a power reserve indicator complete a dial that is as informative as it is beautiful, and somehow never feels crowded.

Powering the watch is the IWC Calibre 52615, a manufacture automatic movement with a remarkable 7-day power reserve courtesy of twin barrels and the Pellaton winding system, requiring no date correction until the year 2499.
