Cambridge Audio CXN (V2) Network Streamer & DAC
This award-winning streamer is widely considered the gold standard for mid-range hi-fi, offering detail, warmth, and a massive soundstage. It features dual Wolfson WM8740 DACs and ATF2 upsampling technology. The unit is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition.
I find the sound of CXN V2 fairly neutral in a positive sense. I've compared it directly with the CXN 100 (newer model from Cambridge Audio) and find the CXN V2 a bit warmer, less harsh than the CXN 100. This is less tiring and allows for long listens. However, if you are looking for extreme detail and a more analytical sound, then the newer CXN 100 goes more in that direction.
The StreamMagic app and the platform that comes with it is very good and it offers a really well curated choice of Internet radio stations in their highest available resolution from what I could see (of course, these are not always perfect).
